Most of Japanese companies are satisfied using Firewalls and Anti Virus software. Penetration of IPS are low comparing to US and Korea. SIEM is very rare. I don't know why security incidents are not frequent. At least there is no event like 7.7 DDoS Attack in Korea. Is Japanese so difficult for hackers?

Difference in Security

Japanese IT market seems different from US one although economy level of the two countries are nearly the same. For example, most companies who buy IPS use only IDS features. Proventia is much, much popular than TippingPoint. I'll explain the difference in security market and other market in the following posts.
